About Jessica
Hi there! I’m Jessica Dye.
I’m a creative writer living with multiple sclerosis based in the foothills of the Arkansas Ozarks. I write about health, culture, and the arts.
I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Writing with an emphasis in creative nonfiction from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. My memoir writing has been featured in Five Minute Lit and The Arkansas Review: A Journal of Delta Studies.
When I’m not brewing a cup of coffee or being summoned by one of my five rescue pets, I’m in my office writing, working on creative projects, or with my other half trying to figure out what in the heck is up with the garden.
At Colors of Dye, I share tools, tips, inspiration, and behind-the-scenes stories about the arts, design, DIY, and storytelling. It’s my goal to make art and the storytelling process approachable, fun, and inviting, especially for those dealing with chronic illness or creative burnout.
